Emerald Dreams Styled Shoot

This shoot has been featured on Boho Weddings Blog and I am so excited to finally be able to share with you all – even more so because it is something that you would stereotypically expect from Vintage Fleur Designs.  I began this ‘dream’ with Sarah from Berry Bear Events and we wanted to show Brides and Grooms that you can add pops of understated colours and still get that romantic and luxury feel to your wedding day without baring all!

The shoot was set at the quintessentially beautiful Allington Manor which is located not far from the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. The Manor has an abundance of original features and we wanted to showcase these within the shoot; leaving its natural textures and rustic elegance  to do the talking with perfectly styled props, flowers and designs.

We wanted big floral detailing to really accentuate the Manors beautiful period features. The Manor is dark and we wanted to show potential brides what you can do with a space to transform it and really give it the persona that they imagined for their big day.

We filled the bridal room bath with flowers and lit with candles to add depth and drama to the really lovely light and airy room. The decadent cake was showcased upon the gorgeous piano surrounded by old books from the Manor to add a timeless twist; as well an accentuating the copper and floral detailing of the cake design.

For the stationery I wanted to do something that I’d never done before and so I used the dark emerald as the base colour and printed onto a handmade cardstock to continue the rustic and wintery vibe that I wanted to achieve; along with the copper hand painted edges that ever so subtly shone in the sunlight.

I had never styled for a shoot before and it was a process that I thoroughly enjoyed doing – from the mood boards through to being there on the day – the day ran smoothly and the suppliers were everything that I could have imaged them to be!

Love, Sophie
